WordPress Hide/Disable Admin Bar

Here are two ways to hide that admin bar on top of your wordpress site.

Permanently Remove Admin Bar

In this method, I am assuming that you already know how to create wordpress themes or even has at least a little idea where to look for your functions.php file.

In your active theme folder, modify your functions.php and add the following wordpress filter script.
add_filter( ‘show_admin_bar’, ‘__return_false’ );
Note: Backup your file before doing any modification.

Hide Admin Bar Per User Profile

For wordpress sites where the owner wants to display the admin bar, individual users can hide the admin bar through their profile settings.

Go to > Users> Your profile

In the “Show Admin Bar“, uncheck the checkbox besides “when viewing site” like shown in the image below.

Save your profile.

And that’s how you hide the WordPress Admin Bar.

Hope this helps. 😉
